Kiel High School's First Robotics Team Wins "Rookie All-Star"

HUI would like to congratulate the Kiel and New Holstein First Robotics Team for winning the “Rookie Allstar” award at the Regional Competition in Milwaukee.

Competing at this conference were 60 other teams from throughout Wisconsin. The Kiel and New Holstein Team also known as the “Bond Brigade” was one of three rookie teams competing for Rookie All-Star.

The “Bond Brigade” was made up of 25 students from Kiel and New Holstein high schools and ten mentors from different companies in the surrounding area. Their goal was to design and build a functional robot to compete and win Rookie Allstar at the Regional Conference.

HUI is proud to be one of the many sponsors of the Kiel and New Holstein First Robotics Bond Brigade Team. It takes tremendous teamwork, dedication, and leadership for a rookie team to achieve such an accomplishment. You can follow the Bond Brigade team at their website, www.bondbrigade.weebly.com.

HUI has been very impressed with First Robotics and what it means to the students in our community. This program truly lives by its mission by inspire young people to be science and technology leaders. Students build science, engineering and technology skills, which inspire innovation, and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication and leadership.

HUI will continue to support the Kiel and New Holstein First Robotics Team in the future. We encourage other businesses to consider sponsoring a First Robotics Team in their communities.
