Kiel, Wisconsin, June 12, 2025 – HUI Manufacturing, a nationwide leader in contract sheet metal manufactured products and components, recently donated a custom hydraulic shop table to Kiel Middle School that improves accessibility and inclusivity. The donation was made to help accommodate students who have special seating arrangements.
When asked about how table’s functionality, HUI’s Maintenance Manager Dylan Brocker explained “the table was customized from an existing product and altered to include several features that assist individuals with special seating requirements.” Brocker also mentioned “the table includes a hydraulic lift that will raise or lower the table to accommodate various heights, as well as a fault lock that will prevent the table from failing while in use. Additionally, the table includes casters that enable easy transport, along with pedal brakes that will help lock it in place.”
When asked about how the project came to be – Brocker informed “Ted Bonde, the Technology Teacher at Kiel High School is a great partner. He reached out and mentioned the middle school needed an accessible table for their shop class. I spoke to Emma Rieth at the middle school and knew right away that it was a good fit for our community involvement initiatives”.

When asked about their community involvement initiatives, HUI’s president Tim Jandrey stated “We set funds aside every year to support community initiatives. We understand the future of manufacturing lies in our community, so we support an array of education initiatives with hopes of inspiring the next generation to continue our legacy.” Jandrey also stated “this project was a great fit - and working with Emma and Alex was a lot of fun!”
After receiving the customized table, Kiel Middle School Principal Alex Ourada expressed his gratitude and stated “we are lucky to have such a generous partner in the community who is willing to invest in our schools”
